How do meals work?

Most days will start with breakfast and coffee at our accommodation, lunch on the road, and dinner at a restaurant in the area we’re staying.

There’s often many very affordable lunch options while we’re riding and lunch will be at your expense. For dinner, we’ll make sure there’s a good selection of local wine available with the meal, and you can purchase additional beverages if something else takes your fancy.

Do you supply a bike?

The majority of our guests choose to bring their own bike. Riding your own bike in such a spectacular setting is something truly special. As such, we’re more than happy to help you source a hire bike for your tour, but we do not supply bikes directly to guests.

What sort of weather should we expect?

Have a look through our instagram feed and the gallery to get a feel for how beautiful it usually is in Italy. That said, the weather in the mountains of Italy can be unpredictable! Be prepared for any kind of weather, including snowy conditions.

Temperatures range from -2 to 30 degrees Celsius (30 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit) and we recommend you pack your warmers, winter and spring gloves, rain jacket, wind breaker, and booties. Being prepared for the weather can make a challenging ride much more enjoyable!

What are the daily rides like?

Your daily distances will depend on which tour you’re on. For our Riviera Toscana Tour, you can expect daily ride distances of between 50km and 80km. On our Dolomiti Alps Tour the daily distances are between 75km and 100km.

The Riviera Toscana Tour is a mix of coastal roads, rolling hills and occasional mountain climbs. The Dolomiti Alps tour is a mix of mountain climbs and valley roads. As a guide to climbing totals, each day will be include around 990m of climbing elevation. Some of the terrain is challenging, with steep climbs followed by long descents. You can ride as much or as little as you like. If you’re currently riding around 100km a week, you’ll have no trouble. Both tours are accessible to riders of all skill levels and our support will get you through no matter where you’re at, even if that means you get a little boost in the van.

The aim is to find quiet, paved secondary roads or bike paths to experience a region. We avoid busy roads as much as possible.

The itinerary will include specific daily ride distances and elevations including options and alternate routes where applicable.
