Draft Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 - Oropa
Tuesday 28th May 2024

We’ll pick you up from Milan Malpensa Airport at 9am, then a short drive to Mama’s at our base in Cossato. After lunch, we’ll set out for the famous climb to Santuario di Oropa to stretch the legs and prepare our bodies for the feast that will be the welcome dinner at Mama’s.

DAY 2 - Colle delle Finestre & Colle del Sestriere
Wednesday 29th May 2024

Today we tackle the famous Colle delle Finestre and Sestriere, the scene of Chris Froome’s incredible break to reclaim almost three and half minutes on GC and ultimately win the Giro. We’ll spend tonight in the beautiful Briançon, enjoying an amazing meal in the old town.

DAY 3 - Col du Galibier
Thursday 30th May 2024

The 8th highest paved road in France and used many times in the Tour de France, and once in the Giro d’Italia in 2013.

DAY 4 - L’Alpe d’Huez
Friday 31st May 2024

This climb needs no introduction. The scene of many epic Tour de France battles over the decades. Today you get to tick it off the bucket list. From there we’ll head a little further north for two nights at Lake Annecy.

DAY 5 - Col du Grand Colombier
Saturday 1st June 2024

This will be one of the toughest climbs of the tour. Used frequently in the Dauphine, it’s a challenging climb from any of the three sides. In the evening we’re back in Lake Annecy.

DAY 6 - Lake Annecy
Sunday 2nd June 2024

With the week of riding we’ve had so far, it’s fair to say a lap around a lake is probably in order. It’s one of the most beautiful spots in all of France, so we’ll soak as much of it up as we can today before our final two days of climbing.

DAY 7 - Aosta Valley
Monday 3rd June 2024

This is a stunning part of Italy along the border with Switzerland. We’ll take our time with some of the climbs out of the valley used in the 2022 Giro d’Italia and soak up the beautiful and historic city of Aosta in the evening.

DAY 8 - Cossato (mamma’s)
Tuesday 4th June 2024

Our final climb for the week is the very special Colle del Nivolet. Forming part of the border between the Aosta and Piemonte regions of Italy and part of the Gran Paradiso National Park, the views on this climb are nothing short of spectacular.

We’ll finish our week where we started, back at Mama’s, and you can be sure that the farewell dinner will be incredible.

DAY 9 - Farewells
Wednesday 5th June 2024

Unfortunately its time to pack up and head to Milan Malpensa for a 10am drop off. Those continuing on in Italy can pick up their car or transfer from here, and those heading home can board their flights back to friends and family ready to share the flood of new memories.

Until next time, it’s goodbye for now.
